Data analysis
Ads and GMV Max data
Explore campaign, product, and creative measures and detail.
Five GMV Max sources support advertising analysis. Connect an advertiser and confirm advertising-store access first. Dates use the advertiser's reporting time zone, which may differ from Shop-local order dates.
All tables contain fictional sample data shown as query results, not a new advertising-management interface. Amounts are USD and only selected fields are shown. Advertising-attributed revenue must not be added to Shop or Affiliate GMV.
#GMV Max campaign summary
Understand current campaign operation, budget, and ROI. Rows are based on advertiser, advertising store, campaign, and date. Available fields include state, budget, ROAS target, ROI protection, optimizations, cost/net cost, orders, and revenue.
Prepare a campaign summary similar to the advertising report, including budget, spend, revenue, ROI, and protection state. Do not change campaigns.
#Sample summary data
| Report date | Campaign | Current budget (USD) | Spend (USD) | Attributed revenue (USD) | ROI | State |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-13 | Autumn Home | 300.00 | 100.00 | 400.00 | 4.00× | Active |
| 2026-10-14 | Autumn Home | 300.00 | 150.00 | 450.00 | 3.00× | Active |
Budget is configuration, not daily spend. Two daily rows with 300 each do not make the current campaign budget 600. A budget summary is not a sum of expenditure.
#Campaign daily performance
Identify when spending and sales changed. Query cost, net cost, SKU orders, revenue, cost per order, ROI, and ROAS target by advertiser, advertising store, campaign, and date.
Compare two weeks of campaign spend, SKU orders, cost per order, and ROI. Identify when changes started and provide daily evidence.
#Sample summary data
| Date | Campaign | Spend (USD) | SKU orders | Cost per order (USD) | Attributed revenue (USD) | ROI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-13 | Autumn Home | 100.00 | 10 | 10.00 | 400.00 | 4.00× |
| 2026-10-14 | Autumn Home | 150.00 | 9 | 16.67 | 450.00 | 3.00× |
Combined ROI is 850 ÷ 250 = 3.40×, not the simple daily average of 3.50×. Advertising SKU orders are not the same measure as unique Shop orders.
#Promoted product performance
Find products spending heavily without converting. Rows expand products within a campaign and date, including product state, impressions, clicks, click rate, orders, spend, revenue, and ROI.
Find high-spend, low-sales products within the campaign. Include impressions and clicks to separate traffic problems from post-click conversion issues.
#Sample summary data
| Product | Impressions | Clicks | Click rate | Spend (USD) | Orders | Attributed revenue (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloud Blanket | 10,000 | 200 | 2.00% | 80.00 | 8 | 320.00 |
| Bedside Lamp | 5,000 | 50 | 1.00% | 20.00 | 2 | 80.00 |
Click rate is clicks ÷ impressions, not an unweighted average across unequal exposures. Product ROI in this source can average platform-reported ROI values. If you need total revenue ÷ total cost, explicitly request that recalculation and keep it separate from the platform field.
#Creative performance
Compare attention with sales. A row expands a creative within a campaign and date. Fields include creative identity/type, review and delivery state, spend, revenue, ROI, and 2-second, 6-second, and playback-progress rates.
Compare 2-second, 6-second, and completion rates alongside creative ROI. Do not assume higher viewing rates mean better sales.
#Sample summary data
| Creative | Spend (USD) | Attributed revenue (USD) | ROI | 2s view rate | 6s view rate | Completion rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DEMO-V01 | 70.00 | 350.00 | 5.00× | 48.0% | 22.0% | 8.0% |
| DEMO-V02 | 30.00 | 50.00 | 1.67× | 60.0% | 30.0% | 12.0% |
The second creative retains viewers better but sells less efficiently in this example. Viewing rates can be averages of platform row-level ratios. Without denominators, do not claim an exact weighted overall viewing rate.
#Creative-product detail
See which products a creative promotes. A row represents advertiser × advertising store × campaign × product × creative × date. Available fields include TikTok account, video source, posting time, authorization, impressions, clicks, conversion, and revenue.
Export campaign creative-product detail with source and authorization context. Keep spend-bearing rows even when creative metadata is unavailable.
#Sample detail data
| Date | Creative | Product | Source | Spend (USD) | SKU orders | Attributed revenue (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-10-13 | DEMO-V01 | Cloud Blanket | Creator video | 60.00 | 7 | 280.00 |
| 2026-10-13 | DEMO-V01 | Bedside Lamp | Creator video | 10.00 | 1 | 70.00 |
| 2026-10-13 | DEMO-V02 | Cloud Blanket | — | 30.00 | 2 | 50.00 |
The platform may return only rows associated with cost at this grain. Absence does not prove a creative never existed. Missing names, sources, or posting times do not invalidate delivery. Campaign, product, and creative reports are perspectives, not additive spending or GMV totals.
Return to Business data. Budget and delivery changes remain in TikTok's advertising platform; this chapter covers querying, analysis, and exports.
